Charles Frank Bobyack

Charles Frank Bobyack, 89, of Laurens, S.C. passed away Sunday, July 3, 2016.

He was born in Newark, N.J. on December 7, 1926. He attended New York University and graduated from Rutgers University. He served his country during World War II in Korea. Prior to his retirement, he lived in Boca Raton, Fla. He was president and owner of Florida International Underwriters.

Upon retirement he moved to Tryon, N.C. and most recently moved to Martha Franks Baptist Retirement Center in Laurens, S.C. Charles was a member of First Baptist Church, Laurens, S.C. In prior years, Charles worked with the late Dr. D. James Kennedy in developing “Evangelism Explosion” through Coral Gables Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Ollie, of the home and four children: daughter, Tammy Bobyack of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; son, Robert of Boca Raton, Fla.; and two step-sons, Mark Horner of LA, and Gary Horner of N.J.; and three granddaughters, Alexa, Alana and Bella Bobyack.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, July 10, 2016 in The Chapel at Martha Franks Center in Laurens, S.C. conducted by Dr. H. Lawton Neely and Dr. Don McIntyre. Interment will be in the Veteran’s Memorial Park in Anderson, S.C.

The family request that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to Martha Franks Baptist Retirement Center, 1 Martha Franks Drive, Laurens, SC 29360.
