With one prior defeat in the double-elimination state softball tournament, Landrum met Chesnee (at Chesnee) on Monday evening, May 9. 

The Cardinals had defeated Andrew Jackson 2-0 to win the district championship.

Results were not available at press time. The Cardinals, who won their first two games, have so far played in the Upper State portion of the state tournament.

Winner of Monday’s game will play at the loser of the Crescent/Buford game on Wednesday (May 11).
