Annie Craig Curtis

Annie Craig Curtis, 84 of Rhodhiss went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016 at her daughter’s home surrounded by her family.

She was born Nov. 15, 1931 in Caldwell County to the late Roy Arthur and Geneva Smith Craig. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harry W. Curtis, and one brother, James Craig.

Mrs. Curtis was a retired inspector with West Point Stevens with over 35 years of service, and was also a member of Concord Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Curtis of Hickory, Becky Justice and spouse Rick of Rhodhiss; two sons, Micheal Curtis and spouse Jill of Hickory, Gary Curtis and spouse Sherry of Rutherfordton; ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Two sisters include Virginia Curtis of Hickory, and Georgia McDaris of Granite Falls. Numerous nieces and nephews are also surviving.

Services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016 at 3 p.m. at Concord Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom McDonald and Rev. Paul Childers officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Bass-Smith Granite Funeral Home from 6 till 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016.
