Polk County District Court results for Jan. 20 and Jan. 25

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016, with Judge Emily Cowan presiding, 83 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime:
Gerald Anthony Bagwell was convicted of resisting public officer. Bagwell was sentenced to one day in jail.
Amos Chang was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 70 mph zone. Chang was fined $95 and court costs.
Lindbergh Hamilton Jr. was convicted of exceeding posted speed. Hamilton was fined $100 and court costs.
Dana Nicole Mosseller was convicted of operating a motor vehicle with improper equipment. Mosseller was fined $40 and court costs.
Marilyn Tammi Robeson was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Robeson was fined $100 and court costs.
In Polk County District Court on Monday, Jan. 25, 2016, with Judge Emily Cowan presiding, 66 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime:
David Joseph Dorety was convicted of possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Dorety was to pay court costs.
Isa Hernandez-Averruz was convicted of unsafe movement. Hernandez-Averruz was to pay court costs.
