Polk County’s women’s basketball team needed to re-schedule its Dec. 12 matchup at Landrum, but the Cardinals did not treat their guests nicely, topping Polk’s Wolverines, 49-37, on Saturday, Jan. 9.

Landrum was 6-4 going into Friday evening’s contest at Carolina Academy, the results of which have not been posted. Polk slipped to 6-8, having lost the previous evening to A. C. Reynolds.

Landrum hosts two region rival this week, Blacksburg this Tuesday evening, and Powdersville on Friday, Jan. 15.
