As Missildine’s nears completion, another renovation is underway next door in the South Trade Building to put the finishing touches on a dazzling new photography studio and art gallery.
In several weeks, on Friday, Jan. 22, Bulletin readers are invited to the opening reception for Carri Bass Photography, with refreshments and a dramatic new art exhibit by Bailie, one of Spartanburg, S.C.’s best-known artists. The reception is from 4-9 p.m. at 25 S. Trade St., upstairs from the green wrought-iron stairway gate.
Carri Bass is excited about her new full-service photography studio and gallery.
“The building is fantastic, and the views are gorgeous! It’s ideal for a photo studio and, of course, the entire region is wonderful for outdoor photo shoots. Everyone I have met has been so welcoming, and I am incredibly excited about joining the community.”
In addition to families and weddings, Carri’s work includes corporate, buildings, horses and pets, websites, real estate, and magazines. She works mostly in Western North Carolina and the Spartanburg-Greenville area, but sometimes farther afield.
“I’ve done weddings in various states, shot documentary work overseas, and even spent a summer traveling with Thomas the Tank Engine!”
Carri Bass Photography is opening at 25-A South Trade Street in Tryon. She can be reached at 864-598-9880 or online at carribass.com.
