Owner’s role in equine postural rehabilitation

Mapping your horse’s pain on your own from A to V is one of the topics to be overviewed in the presentation sponsored by Partnership With Horses with Gloria Verrecchio, DVM, CERP, of Landrum, S.C. on Tuesday, Jan. 12 at FENCE, 3381 Hunting Country Road, Tryon. The social starts at 6:30 p.m. and the presentation will be held from 7-8 p.m.
Specializing in diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal problems affecting posture, motion, mood, and comfort, she will also include overviews of the following topics: Enhancing your understanding of the not-so-obvious causes of clinical and sub clinical pain and discomfort; Understanding the role of myofascia in your horse’s biomechanical performance; Effectively combining professional and do-it-yourself therapy with Flexercise for rehabilitation; and newer technologies of laser acupuncture and Equi-Taping® therapy.
Doctor Verrecchio has earned her DVM from University of Minnesota in 1997, post-graduate CERP (Certified Equine Rehabilitation Practitioner) from the University of Tennessee, and is Certified with Distinction as an Equi-Taping® Practitioner.
