Women’s basketball takes loss, moves on to Madison County

When Polk County’s women’ varsity basketball team visits Madison County this evening, the Wolverines will hope to even their record at 3-3.
On Tuesday, Dec. 8, it was East Henderson’s turn to win a close game, as they edged the Wolverines, 51-50.
Hayley Kropp led the Wolverines with 22 points, adding 13 rebounds and five steals. Alana Seay added a dozen points, while Autumn Owen (seven) and Ansley Lynch (five) helped clear the boards.
Madison will be Polk’s first Western Highlands Conference opponent of the season. On Tuesday, Dec. 15, the Wolverines visit Mitchell, and on Dec. 11, they host Mountain Heritage, their third consecutive WHC opponent.
