White Oak of Tryon officially opened the new, state of the art Rehabilitation Center, administrative offices and a number of remodeled resident rooms, with a celebration attended by more than 200 people. The first to view the new areas were residents of the White Oak Village Apartments who watched the ribbon cutting and took guided tours. The apartment residents were then joined by over 100 business people, elected officials and residents of the Tryon community and the surrounding towns.
A wide variety of hors d’oeuvres, artfully prepared by the White Oak Culinary staff, along with wine and specialty infused waters were served at three locations throughout the new areas, including on the patio where guests were listening and dancing to the music of Woody Cowan and Sue Wilson.
Doug Cecil, president of White Oak Management, Inc. in Spartanburg said, “This is a great day for White Oak, Tryon residents and those who live in the area. Even though we have had a very successful rehabilitation program for several years, we now have a fully equipped, state of the art facility, along with the additional resident rooms we need to accommodate the demand. We will also be able to accommodate more outpatients as a result of our new area.”
