Willie Louise Richmond

Proverbs 31:10… A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. These words and verse best describe Willie Louise Richmond, age 89, who passed away Sunday, Nov. 22, 2015 at her residence in Columbus, N.C. Louise loved to sew, read and travel. She was blessed to have seen Hawaii, London, Paris and the Mediterranean with her family. Most of all, she loved her family.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Donald Clovis Richmond. A native of Snyder, Texas, she is the daughter of the late Jennings Bryan Eatmon and Lillie Kenneth Crenshaw Eatmon along with three sisters, Juanita Roten, Dorothy Davis and Marjorie Stocks.

Those left behind to cherish the memories of Louise are her daughters, Donna Eloise Richmond Ware and husband Ron of Campobello, S.C. and Vicki Sue Richmond Hornowski of Asheville, N.C.; son, Bryan Keith Richmond and wife Aimee of Raywick, Ky.; six grandchildren, Lindsay Thatcher, Maeghan MacKenzie Richmond, Lana Corbin Richmond, Ashley Hornowski, Bryan Scott Ware and Benjamin Hornowski; four great grandchildren, Roslyn Ware, Ruby Rose Richmond, Vivienne Floyd and Cole Henry Ware.

Funeral service for Mrs. Richmond will be at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2015 at First Baptist Church, 300 East Rutherford Street, Landrum, S.C. 29356 with Reverend Mark Bishop officiating. Active pallbearers are family and friends.

The family will be receiving friends from 10:30  – 11:30 a.m. prior to the service.

Graveside and committal service will be follow at 3 p.m. in Hillcrest Gardens, 1508 Charles Raper Jonas Highway, Mount Holly, NC 28120.

The family wishes to praise the care received from Hospice of the Carolina Foothills and Seasons of life Home Care.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Carolinas Foothills, 260 Fairwinds Drive, Landrum, SC 29356 or First Baptist Church, 300 East Rutherford Street, Landrum, SC 29356.
