Start your holiday shopping at the Saluda Historic Depot in November at the first annual Saluda Holiday Gallery. The gallery is open through Dec. 31, Thursday through Sunday, noon to 4 p.m.

An opening reception will be held Saturday, Nov. 14 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. to introduce the more than 15 artists who will display and sell a variety of art from paintings, pottery, jewelry, fairy gardens, and more.

All of these artists will generously donate 30 percent of the proceeds from their sales to the fundraising effort to purchase the depot.

“The depot has become such a dynamic gathering place for community events such as artist’s exhibits, book launches, and train tales. I am proud to be a part of the Saluda Holiday Gallery and this most successful commitment to Save the Depot,” expressed Susie Welsh, Gingerly Touched Pottery.

“Capturing Saluda and the area in our photography the past nine years has been nothing short of an amazing adventure for us. We are thrilled to be able to hang our work in the depot for this holiday event aimed at raising funds for the purchase of the depot,” says Jean-Jacques and Sue Benoist.

“The Saluda Train Depot is now also a great place for Christmas shopping,” says Saluda potter, Merci Weitzen.
