Mrs. Carla P. Phillips, 54, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Piedmont Medical Center.

The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Tirzah ARP Church with Revs. Andy Putnam, Lynn Stewart and Garrison Taylor officiating.  Burial was in the church cemetery.

A native of Landrum, SC, Mrs. Phillips was a daughter of Docia F. Ward Pace of Landrum, SC and the late Carl A. Pace.  She was previously a teacher’s assistant at Mt. Gallant Elementary School and a member of Tirzah ARP Church.  She enjoyed visiting with her friends and Tuesday afternoons with her grandchildren.  She also enjoyed leisurely rides on the pontoon boat.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Kevin W. Phillips; her sons, Joe Phillips and his wife, Laura and Justin Phillips, both of Rock Hill; her brothers, Johnny Pace of Landrum, SC and Jeff Pace of Inman, SC; her sister, Debra Johnson of Homer, GA; and her grandchildren, Noah and Isla Phillips.  She was preceded in death by her sister, Donna Sain.

The family received friends from 7-8:30 p.m. on Friday, August 21, 2015 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Rd, Rock Hill, SC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Phillips’ name to Tirzah ARP Church, 6161 Mt Gallant Rd, York, SC 29745; or Oak Grove Baptist Church, 826 Oak Grove Rd, Landrum, SC 29356.
