Mr. Anderson retired from General Electric in East Flat Rock, N.C. and was a member of Warrior Mountain Baptist Church serving as a leader and deacon.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6-7:30 p.m. in the McFarland Funeral Chapel.

Memorial may be made to Meal On Wheels, 64 Greenville Street, Saluda, NC 28773 as they were wonderful to him and he cherished the friendships made.

A limb has fallen from the family tree. We keep hearing a voice that says, “Grieve not for me. Remember the best times, the laughter, the song, the good life I lived while I was still strong. Continue my heritage, I’m counting on you. Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through. My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest. Remembering all how I truly was blessed. Continue traditions, no matter how small, Go forward with life, and don’t worry about falls. I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin; until the day comes that we are together again.”

At other times, the family will be at the home.
