Wiley Conrad Burns

Mr. Wiley Conrad Burns, 73, of Bermuda Run, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. He was born Aug. 1, 1941 in Tryon, N.C. to Leonard Bramlett and Della Burrell Burns.
Wiley started his career in information technology at Milliken Inc, in Spartanburg, S.C. From there he continued his career in food service distribution in Chicago, Phoenix and Miami.
Wiley and his wife own Sunburst Cruises and Travel, and after retiring, they enjoyed traveling around the world. Wiley enjoyed life, and lived it to the fullest. He loved his family, especially his four grandchildren. His hobbies included golf, reading and traveling. He was a member of Bethlehem Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Ruth Newman, Betsy Champion, infant sister Beatrice Burns, Gloria Phillips and Dallas Pace, and by a brother, Leonard C. Burns. Surviving are his wife, Diane O’Shields Burns; two daughters, Lisa Coleman and husband, Craig, Joye Grabarczyk and husband, Mark; four grandchildren, Ben and Riley Coleman, Emily and Jack Grabarczyk; a sister-in-law, Marie Burns; and a brother-in-law, Ray Champion.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Clemmons United Methodist Church with Rev. Paula Northrup and Rev. Gene Pace officiating.
