Mrs. Kay Frances Williams Bebber, 81, of Hopewell Church Road, Hiddenite, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014 at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville.

Mrs. Bebber was born October 29, 1933 in Bristol, Tenn. to the late Paul Augustus Williams and Frances McLain Williams.

She had worked for Wachovia for 10 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Taylorsville, where she was a Sunday school teacher, involved in youth activities, church librarian and women of the church.

Kay was a long-time secretary of Alexander Friends of the Library and was deeply involved in membership recruitment. She also was the first sustaining life member of the organization.

Including her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Van Dorn Bebber II and Gregory Paul Bebber.

Those left to cherish her memory include: her husband of 62 years, Harold Bebber of the home, three daughters, Sherri Elizabeth Bebber and husband, Charlie, of Hilton Head, S.C., Laura Ann Ware of New Bern, Amy Louise Bebber Smith of Cornelius, a son, William Neal Bebber and wife, Yvonne, of Landrum, S.C.; nine grandchildren, Sandra, Shannon and Brooks Halterman, Christopher and Van Dorn Bebber III, Tyler and Chandler Smith, Cassandra and Ethan Boneau.

A celebration of life service will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, December 28, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Taylorsville. The Rev. Dan Redding will officiate. Burial will follow in the Three Forks Baptist Church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2 – 3 p.m., prior to the service.
