Jerry Cox, 61, a Polk County native, died Dec. 1. He is survived by children Melvin Cox (Dreama), Jimmy Cox (Nellie), Jennifer Lyda (Hank Queen) and Lisa Cox (Bobby Bumgarner); 20 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers Ray Stafford (Cindy), Marvin Stafford (Jackie), Dave Cox (Violet), and Leroy Cox (Mary). A memorial service will be held at a later date.
