Polk County District Court results for Oct. 29

During Polk County District Court on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2014, with Judge Pete Knight presiding, 184 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime:
Timothy R. Clark was convicted of impaired equipment. Clark was fined $40 and court costs.
Blake Fry Conner was convicted of rear seatbelt violation. Conner was fined $10.
Timothy Dale Crockett was convicted of open container after consumption of alcohol first. Crockett was fined $50 and court costs.
Sandra Petty Forney was convicted of rear seat belt violation. Forney was fined $10.
Timothy A. Foster was convicted of misdemeanor probation violation. Foster’s probation was extended two years.
David Jeremy Garren was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Garren as fined $25 and court costs.
Philip Gordon was convicted of level five driving while impaired and possession of drug paraphernalia. Gordon was sentenced to 45 days in jail with credit for time served for driving while impaired and sentenced to 20 days in jail with credit for time served for possession of drug paraphernalia.
William L. Henderson was convicted of driving while license revoked-not impaired revocation. Henderson was to pay court costs.
Stephanie Nicole Horian was convicted of speeding 84 mph in a 70 mph zone. Horian was fined $88 and court costs.
Bennett Jackson was convicted of impaired equipment. Jackson was fined $40 and court costs.
Lei Jiag was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 65 mph zone. Jiag was fined $50 and court costs.
Lindsey Renee Land was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Land was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.
Alex Lozitsky was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Lozitsky was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, one day in jail, a $100 fine and court costs.
Knoel Oliver Simpson was convicted of failure to wear seat belt-driver. Simpson was fined $25 and court costs.
Robert Edward Starkman was convicted of misdemeanor flee/elude arrest with motor vehicle, simple assault and level one driving while impaired. Starkman was sentenced to eight months supervised probation and court costs for flee/elude arrest and sentenced to three years supervised probation, 30 days in jail with credit for time served, a $300 fine and court costs for simple assault and driving while impaired.
George Laque Wesley was convicted of speeding 84 mph in a 70 mph zone. Wesley was fined $75 and court costs.
