The restaurant formerly known as Irene’s, and prior to that as Denny’s, has been under renovation in recent weeks and will reopen as Auto Money Title Loans.
Headquartered in Charleston with more than 70 branches across South Carolina, Auto Money Title Loans expects to open the 1840 Hwy. 14 East store in Landrum, S.C. on Thursday, Aug. 21. The store is located between the Shell gas station and the Hospice Thrift Barn, near Interstate 26.
Auto Money Title Loans will lend up to $20,000 to customers with a lien-free title on a car, truck, boat, motorcycle or jet ski, according to the company’s website.
Robert Nettles, general contractor with Advanced Systems, Inc., said the building contains 3,267 square feet, but the company will only renovate and utilize between 1,800 and 1,900 square feet. The kitchen area will be walled off, and a sales counter and office will be constructed.
The store’s phone number is 864-457-2012 or more information can be obtained online from AutoMoneyTitleLoans.com. There will be no opening ceremony, according to T.J. Sack, spokesman for Auto Money Title Loans.
