June 30, 2014 session:
In Polk County District Court on Monday, June 30, 2014 with Judge Pete Knight presiding, 216 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime:
Donna Linette Brooks was convicted of impaired equipment. Brooks was to pay court costs.
Michael Raymond Derwort was convicted of open container malt beverage/unfortified wine on city/county property. Derwort was fined $50 and court costs.
Michael Wesley Dunlap was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Dunlap was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.
Scott Walter Florence was convicted of impaired equipment. Florence was fined $40 and court costs.
Christopher R. Hensley was convicted of level two driving while impaired. Hensley was sentenced to three years unsupervised probation, seven days in jail with credit, a $250 fine and court costs.
Greg Terrell Hudgens was convicted of simple possession of schedule III controlled substance and simple possession of schedule VI controlled substance. Hudgens was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $75 fine and court costs.
Wayne Brackett Hunt was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Hunt was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.
Solomon Johnson III was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Johnson was fined $81 and court costs.
Walter Grady Kellett was convicted of driving while license revoked. Kellett was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.
Koutilya Redd Kommula was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Kommula was to pay court costs.
Leon William Porter was convicted of impaired equipment. Porter was fined $40 and court costs.
Jessica Lynn Proulx was convicted of impaired equipment. Proulx was fined $40 and court costs.
Joseph Lamond Simpson was convicted of driving while license revoked impaired revocation. Simpson was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.
Jon Caleb Sistare was convicted of level five driving while impaired and driving after consuming under age 21. Sistare was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs for driving while impaired and one year unsupervised probation for driving after consuming.
Hollys Lavon Williams was convicted of driving while license revoked after impaired revocation notice. Williams was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.
Cassandra Wilson-Bass was convicted of impaired equipment. Wilson-Bass was fined $40 and court costs.
Brittany Nicole Wray was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Wray was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.
July 2, 2014 session:
In Polk County District Court Wednesday, July 2, 2014 with Judge T. Mack Brittain presiding, 55 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime:
Anthony Robert Cone was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Cone was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, one day in jail, a $100 fine and court costs.
Marcel Y. Eluhu was convicted of impaired equipment. Eluhu was fined $40 and court costs.
Cody Zain Hardin was convicted of resisting public officer. Hardin was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.
Constance McCarl Kunak was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Kunak was to pay court costs.
Lavette J. Pulley was convicted of possession of synthetic cannabinoid and maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for a controlled substance. Pulley was sentenced to 20 days in jail with credit for time served.
Lavard Germael Thomas was convicted of failure to appear on misdemeanor. Thomas was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.
Anthony Dwayne Walters was convicted of level one driving while impaired and driving while license revoked impaired revocation. Walters was sentenced to 24 months in prison with 27 days credit for driving while impaired and 20 days in prison for driving while license revoked.
William Westenrieder was convicted of speeding 80 mph in a 65 mph zone. Westenrieder was fined $100 and court costs.
