Over 75 people gathered at the Tryon Hounds Membership Mixer on June 23 to welcome new members and to officially kick off the summer social season for the Hunt. The new and prospective members enjoyed a delicious buffet expertly catered by The Hare & The Hound and music was provided by Spartanburg singer-song writer Daryle Ryce.
Summer activities for the membership include: white water rafting, trail ride to Dupont Forest, golf tournament and a foxhunting clinic and hunting attire fashion show.
Tryon Hounds is one of the oldest and most prestigious hunts in the southeast dating back to the 1920s. Foxhunting is the cornerstone of the area’s equestrian heritage and helps to protect the rural charm and rustic beauty of our community while adding directly to the region’s economic impact.
