Gloria A. Ruth, 83 of Polk County, N.C., went to be with the Lord on June 20, 2014. She was full of life and laughter. She loved her family and friends.
She lost the love of her of life, Jim, five years ago. They enjoyed over 50 years of marriage. She was the proud mother of five; grandmother to 15 and great grandmother to nine.
She was raised in Ohio, moved to Fla. and spent her last eight years in Polk County. She loved her church, New Hope Methodist. She enjoyed her workouts at Silver Sneakers at Pro Physical Therapy. She loved to cook and share what she made with friends and family.
There will be a celebration of her life on Sunday, July 6 at 2 p.m. at New Hope Methodist Church, 4251 Chesnee Road, Rutherfordton, N.C. in Green Creek.
