Polk sheriff’s arrests two on child sex offenses

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office made two arrests recently for child sexual offenses on two separate incidences.
Both unrelated incidences involved children under the age of 12, according to police reports.
Timothy Edward Hill, 43, of Scott Lane, Columbus was arrested on June 9 and charged with one count of felony first-degree sex offense of a child and two counts of felony indecent liberties with a child, according to the sheriff’s office. Hill received a $140,000 bond.
On June 4, the sheriff’s office arrested Angel Chamale Iquic, 41, of Old Crowe Lane, Tryon and charged him with four counts of felony male rape, according to sheriff’s office reports.
Iquic received a $420,000 bond.
