The Green Blades Garden Club celebrated their last meeting for the summer with a luncheon at the beautiful one-hundred-year-old cottage of member, Joanie Newman.
“It was a lovely “Gatsby” type afternoon, dining on the enclosed wrap around porch, feeling as though time stood still and we were back in the early 30’s of old Tryon on a bright sun graced day”, says Liz Norstrom.
Their hostess and Lori Martin honored them with a fabulous luncheon and a plethora of deserts.
Sherry Dashiell, Susan Leonard and Kerry Austin were the backup sous chefs and kitchen staff, and the table arrangements were created by Lynette Conrad and Rita Nichols.
