The Foothills BMW Z3 Roadster Club held its first organizational meeting Sunday, April 27, 2014, sponsored by the Old Mill Market Square, who also provided refreshments.
The members gathered to meet others and have discussions, share knowledge and information about the Z3 Sport car that has become a collectible and a classic. It was a great turnout for the initial meeting.
These were the first vehicles produced by BMW when they came to Greer, S.C. The Z3 Roadsters were available from 1996 through 2002.
The Foothills BMW Z3 Roadster Club is free membership, non-affiliated, no deep agendas and no rules or regulations; just own a Z3 Roadster.
The club plans to schedule some short trips and later participate in charitable events.
Guests attending the meeting included Warren Durham, BMW’s By WD, Columbus, N.C. who was available to answer questions and discuss mechanical and other car issues with the members and George Megee, B&G Services, Landrum, S.C., a local business providing complete auto reconditioning services.
