William Ernest “Uncle” Bradley, 80, of Lockhart Drive, Landrum, SC died Wednesday, April 9, 2014 in Mission Hospital, Asheville, NC. Born in Polk County, NC he was the son of the late William Marion and Ruby Lee Phillips Bradley.  He was a Veteran of the U. S. Marines having served in the Korean Conflict.  William was a past employee of Southern Mercerizing and Forbes Industries and was currently employed with Victory Heating, Greer, SC.  William was a Believer!
Surviving are:  Two sisters, Kay B. Ravan (Phillip) of Columbus, NC and Shirley Bradley of Landrum, SC; Four brothers, Austin Bradley (Louise ) of Tryon, NC; Frank “Rat” Bradley of Tryon, NC, Dean Bradley (Patricia) of Saluda, NC and Charles Bradley (Gail) of Gramling, SC; a special nephew, Joseph Burnette (Margie) and his children Kathryn and Gabrielle of Summerville, SC and special niece Sandra Pilgrim (Jerry) and son Gabriel of Forest City, NC.  Also surviving are 19 additional nieces and nephews and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by siblings Helen B. Champion, Barbara B. Wilson and Kenneth R. Bradley.
A gathering of friends will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2014 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, NC.
