After weather-related postponements last Friday, March 7, Polk County High School baseball and softball teams will resume their regular schedules this week.
Results of last night’s home baseball game against East Henderson will appear in tomorrow’s edition.
Today, Tuesday, March 11, the softball team visits Brevardat 4:30 p.m.. On Friday, Coach Jeff Wilson’s squad visits Madison (game time is 4 p.m.), as will the baseball team (see below).
The next home game is slated for March 18 (4 p.m.) against Mountain Heritage.
Also today, Coach Ty Stott’s baseball team hosts Erwin. JV begins at 4 p.m., with the varsity game at 6:30 p.m.. This Friday, the team visits Madison. Varsity action begins at 7 p.m.  The team also visits Mountain Heritage on March 18. Opening pitch (varsity) is set for 6:30 p.m.
Make-up games from last Friday, March 7 will be played as follows: Baseball (JV at 4 p.m., with varsity to follow) will be at West Henderson March 24.
Softball will be at East Henderson on Friday, March 28 at 4 p.m.
