Hunter Jumper Schooling Show set for March 1 at Harmon Field

A Hunter Jumper Schooling Horse Show will take place at Harmon Field Saturday, March 1, starting at 9 a.m.
Classes will be offered for Leadline through 3 ‘Hunter and Jumpers. The Carolina Schooling Series, an organization started by local trainers, will host the show. The show will operate on a two ring schedule, with Walk-Trot through 2’ Hunters in the Lehner Ring, and 2’ 3” Mini Hunter through 3’ Jumpers in the Spencer Ring.
The show will be staffed primarily by volunteers.
The series is dedicated to providing an affordable horse show experience for emerging riders and horses. It is a great place for beginning riders to learn about show horses and for trainers to bring their more advanced students and horses to get some horse show miles before the bigger shows.
Riders can join the association and accumulate points for year-end awards. A small fee will be charged for each class and stalls will be available for rent. Membership applications and show entry forms can be downloaded from www.fernhollowfarm.net.
The public is invited to come enjoy the day at Harmon Field and cheer on the riders and horses. Admission is free. As always, the horse community’s help is sought to ensure the success of the schooling show format, through monetary sponsorships and or volunteering.
