The ladies of the Landrum Garden Club closed out the year 2013 sharing a lunch at the Ruby Slipper in Tryon.

The group then moved on to Rosedale sharing songs, gifts and celebrating birthdays. Attwood made a delicious surprise for the group – a cake decorated with live greenery.

Then, Jan. 1, 2014 was celebrated at Peggie Armstrong’s home, a tradition the group looks forward to each year. What a wonderful way to start the New Year – family, football and traditional food to mark the day.

The group’s regular January meeting was held at Linda Brown’s home. The meeting’s topic was presented by hostess Linda Brown and focused on cultivation and use of wild and domesticated herbs.

Written literature was provided along with several live herbs and products produced from the herbs. It was interesting and most informative. The group’s February meeting will be at Attwood’s home.
