Marguerite Wilson, 97, passed away Jan. 23 in Brownwood, Texas.
She was born in Hillsboro, Texas on June 18, 1916, to Francis Earl and Zoe Amanda Taylor Christian. She was educated in the Hillsboro City Schools and the University of Texas in Austin.
She worked her entire career as a civil service employee of the Texas and US governments, in Washington D.C., Hillsboro, Waco and Dallas, Texas. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Brownwood, Texas. She visited daughter, Fran, in Columbus often and was well-known in the Columbus Lions Club and area restaurants.
Marguerite was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Robert (Bob) and two sons, David Allan and Mitch Wilson. She is survived by daughter, Frances (Garland) Goodwin of Columbus and son, Terry (Nancy) Wilson of Brownwood, Texas; grandchildren, Thomas (Judy) Goodwin of Asheville, Sharon (Keith) Koontz, Virginia Beach, Va., Teriann (Russell) Ballard of Pineville, La., Chris Wilson of Pineville, La., and Heidi (Dustin) Deen of San Antonio, Texas; great-grandchildren, Carol Ann Robertson, Cody Ballard, Taylor Koontz, Austin Koontz, Christian Wilson, Natalie Wilson, Preston Deen, Ryann Deen and great-great-granddaughter Corinna Robertson.
Burial will be in Hillsboro, Texas alongside her parents, husband and two sons.
