James P. Gilmore

James Paul Gilmore, 90, of Morgan Chapel Village, Columbus, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center in Spartanburg, SC.

Born in Lyndhurst, N.J., he was the son of the late Alfred and Lydia Christ Gilmore.

He moved to Columbus in l991 from Flemington, N.J.

Mr. Gilmore retired in l994 as a civil engineer from the
U.S. Navy.

He was a member of the Horse Creek Masonic Lodge, Post 719, Columbus.

Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Constance Dinielli Gilmore; two sons, James Gilmore, Jr. of Miami, Fla. and Daniel B. Gilmore of Columbus; two daughters, Ellen Gilmore of Sicklerville, N.J. and Dawn Stone of Melborne, Fla.

Also surviving are seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, 2013 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel with Dr. Chris Osborn officiating.

Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens, Columbus, with Military and Masonic Rites.
