Polk district court results Nov. 6

In Polk County District Court Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013 with Judge Athena F. Brooks presiding, 106 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime:
Rolando Anaya-Barajas was convicted of expired operator’s license. Anaya-Barajas was fined $50 and court costs.
John Travis Bailey was convicted of four counts of obtain controlled substance by fraud/forgery, two counts of felony possession of schedule II controlled substance and two counts of uttering forged instrument. Bailey was sentenced to 18 months supervised probation and court costs.
Amber Rose Burckhalter was convicted of driving while license revoked. Burckhalter was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $200 fine and court costs.
Tashauna Eliza Justice was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Justice was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.
Julian A. Littlejohn was convicted of misdemeanor probation violation. Littlejohn’s probation was terminated.
Mark Loren Miller was convicted of reckless driving to endanger, level 5 driving while impaired and possession of drug paraphernalia. Miller was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.
Tisha Jolene Smith was convicted of failure to appear on misdemeanor. Smith was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served.
Whitney Elizabeth Wellmon was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 65 mph zone. Wellmon was fined $100 and court costs.
