Jaiden Davis of Flat Rock, N.C. plays one of the Native American flutes crafted by artist/musician Bob Child following his presentation of original music on Sept. 29 in the Peterson Amphitheater at Tryon Fine Arts Center (TFAC). Following the presentation, flute players had an opportunity to play some of the instruments Child demonstrated during the presentation. This free presentation was the first of a series of three Sunday performances in the amphitheater presented this fall by TFAC. Tryon Writers, a group of local poets and fiction writers, will present a program of their work this Sunday, Oct. 6 at 3 p.m. High school actors will close the Fall Educational school tour of A Thousand Cranes on the amphitheater stage on Sunday, Oct. 20 at 3 p.m. In case of inclement weather, the programs will move indoors.
