This colorful painting, done during the 1960s, early in the career of Guntram Gersch, is one of the artworks on exhibit July 13-20 in Gallery 1 at the Tryon Fine Arts Center. A silent auction of all of the pieces, with bids beginning at $100, will be conducted for the duration of the exhibit, which ends at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 20. Proceeds from the auction will benefit Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.
