In Polk County District Court held Wednesday, June 12, 2013 with Judge T. Mack Brittain presiding, 119 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Jason Carroll Barnes was convicted of failure to wear seat belt-driver. Barnes was fined $25 and court costs.

Terry Anthony Brown was convicted of speeding 64 mph in a 55 mph zone. Brown was fined $40 and court costs.

Amanda Sue Butts was convicted of level 5 driving while impaired. Butts was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.

Shawn Daniel Fennell was convicted of level 4 driving while impaired. Fennell was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 48 hours of community service, a $200 fine and court costs.
