The Isothermal Community College on Hwy. 108 in Columbus will sponsor the four-hour AARP Driver Safety Course at the college from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Monday, June 27.
The course is open to the public. There is a nominal fee, which can be discounted by presenting an AARP membership card. Call 828-894-3092 to register.
The AARP course covers the normal changes in vision, hearing and reaction time associated with aging and provides practical techniques to adjust to these changes.
Participants receive a thorough review of the “Rules of the Road,” with emphasis on safe driving strategies. Graduates may be eligible to receive multiyear auto insurance discounted premiums through their insurance agent.
