Polk superior court results

In Polk County Superior Court held the week of Jan. 28, 2013 with Judge Alan Z. Thornburg presiding, 70 cases were heard. Some cases were continued or dismissed.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Bradley Kyle Benton was convicted of three counts of possession/distribute meth precursor and possession of methamphetamine. Benton was sentenced to 30 months supervised probation, $736 in restitution and court costs for two counts of possession/distribute meth precursor and sentenced to 30 months supervised probation and court costs for one count of possession/distribute precursor and possession of methamphetamine.

Nathan Wally Cross was convicted of felony probation out of county. Cross was sentenced to 90 days in prison with credit for 31 days pretrial time served, probation extended for six months and court costs.

Matthew Hall was convicted of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Hall was sentenced to 18 months unsupervised probation and court costs.

Keisha Harris was convicted of sell or deliver controlled substance to minor under age 13 and child abuse. Harris was sentenced to six months in prison and court costs.

Reggie Van Higgins was convicted of habitual felon and possession of stolen motor vehicle. Higgins was sentenced to 76 to 101 months in prison with credit for any pretrial time served and court costs.

Christopher Dale Hoyle was convicted of misdemeanor probation violation out of county. Hoyle was sentenced to 30 days in jail.

James Tyler Kimbrell was convicted of larceny by employee. Kimbrell was sentenced to 60 months supervised probation, $5,830 in restitution and court costs.

Timothy William McCurry was convicted of two counts of felony probation violation, possession/distribute meth precursor and four counts of possession of meth precursor. McCurry’s sentences were activated for probation violations and sentenced to 15 to 18 months in prison for possession/distribute meth precursor, sentenced to 15 to 18 months in prison for one count of possession of meth precursor and sentenced to 24 months supervised probation and $600 in SBI fees for three counts of possession of meth precursor.

Shawna K. Mothershead was convicted of felony probation violation out of county. Mothershead was sentenced to 100 days in jail with credit for pretrial time served.

Charles Jessie Raines was convicted of three counts of felony probation violation. Raines was sentenced to 90 days in jail.

Keith Sinex was convicted of habitual impaired driving and driving while license revoked. Sinex was sentenced to 15 to 18 months in jail.
