Tryon Painters and Sculptors to feature Lingg at Art, Wine and Cheese program Sept. 25

Tryon Painters and Sculptors will host an Art, Wine and Cheese program featuring Susan Lingg, a renowned watercolor and landscape artist, on Tuesday, Sept. 25 from 4-6 p.m.
Lingg’s art celebrates the color of nature with original paintings and images of the landscapes and native flora of the Great Smoky Mountains. Since the 90s, Lingg has been exploring the process and creation of the more dimensional properties of handmade paper. Created in her studio, handmade paper is often incorporated into many original fine art pieces.
Many of her pieces are created with a base of watercolor or acrylic medium, collaged with handmade paper, poured inks, and/or pastels. Lingg has been exhibiting her work through art fairs, festivals, libraries, universities, government buildings, and galleries since 1982. She also
teaches watercolor and handmade paper through various institutions as well as privately.
Everyone is welcome. The Tryon Painters and Sculptors gallery is located at 26 Maple Street in Tryon. For more information, call 828-859-0141 or visit www.tryonpaintersandsculptors.com.
