Dr. Jimmy Littlefield of Spartanburg County Schools District One has been named the Superintendent of the Year for South Carolina in 2008. The news was announced on the Bill Drake radio show Thursday morning. Littlefield said he was pleased to receive the recognition from his peers, but credited the school district, the school board and the District One community for making it possible.
