The 3rd Silent Art Auction topped previous auctions with donated art and projected revenue. The children&39;s art tour/art project program was expanded to include Tryon Elementary School&39;s third and fourth grades.

&uot;We thank the community for joining in the celebration of our 30 years of bringing quality art to the Carolinas and for providing generous support throughout 2008,&uot; says Sally McPherson, board president.

The Upstairs is on vacation in January and most of February to give staff a break and plan new exhibits and programs. It reopens on February 28 with two exhibits recognizing Black History Month. There is also a Budding Artists exhibit in mid-February with dates to be announced.
