A Saluda man accused of murdering his friend received a $500,000 bond from Judge Athena Brooks last Friday, March 16, during Henderson County District Court.
Brandon Cody-Lee Case, 23, was charged with murder in connection with the death of Joshua William Lindsay on Feb. 25.
Case was originally held in jail without bond.
Case was arrested on Feb. 25 after investigators found Lindsay dead at his 2643 Macedonia Road home on Feb. 22. The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office originally responded to a report that Lindsay’s death was from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, but after evidence collected and witness statements were in substantial conflict, Case was charged with murder.
Preliminary autopsy results confirmed Lindsay was murdered, according to Henderson County Sheriff’s Office reports.
Case’s attorney, Roy Neill, last week made a motion for the court to set a bond.
Judge Brooks ordered Case to have no contact with the victim’s family.
Case’s next court date is April 16.
