On Jan. 25, the Carolinas District Governor of Kiwanis, Doug Day, visited the Tryon Kiwanis Club. He resides in Chapel Hill, N.C. and has been a member of the Carrboro Kiwanis Club for 18 years. He talked about how he became Carolinas district governor, from three-time president to two-time lieutenant governor, governor-elect and governor. Other discussions included Kiwanis membership growth and the Eliminate Project, which has eliminated maternal neo-natal tetanus in 20 countries since 2000.
