Christopher Isaac Abril has been named to the dean’s list and the chancellor’s list at

Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C. for the fall semester 2011.
To be included on this list, a student must be enrolled for a minimum of 12 hours of course work for which quality points are computed and attain a grade point average of 3.85 or better.
Abril’s grade point average was 3.94 on a 4.00 scale.
He is a third year student pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in appropriate technology with a minor in sustainable development.
Abril said he would like to thank the Polk County Community Foundation and the Tryon Presbyterian Church for their continued support toward his academic goals.
