Local arts and crafts will be on sale at an unexpected  venue this holiday season: the Columbus Town Hall. Come to the town hall meeting room every Saturday, Nov. 26 through Dec. 24, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., to see gifts made by vendors from the tailgate markets and other artists from Polk County.
Handmade gifts include decorative iron works, photography, paintings, jewelry, fingerless gloves, felted hats and purses, dog coats, dog biscuits, fiber art, leather purses, herbal soap, brass art and artwork made of wood. A gift basket will be given away Saturday, Dec. 24 at 1 p.m.
Columbus Town Hall is on the corner of Walker and Ward streets, across from Mountain 1st Bank.  The sale is sponsored by the Town of Columbus and the Polk County Tailgate Markets.  Call 828-899-5111 for more information.
