Polk County Sheriff’s Office reports July activity

POLK COUNTY—In a comprehensive activity report, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office has released its crime statistics for July 2025. 

According to PCSO, a total of 984 calls for service were handled, and there were 46 welfare checks, along with 2,022 security checks and 133 citizen contacts.

Additionally, 146 miles of roadway were cleaned, and 67 suspicious persons/vehicles were checked. Eighty-four incident reports were filed, 51 arrests were made, and 91 inmates were admitted into the detention center.

There were 88 animal/livestock complaints, with 31 animals picked up by Polk County Animal Control, with five reported animal bites.

A total of 452 traffic stops were made, and five illegal weapons were seized during the month.
