Polk County Schools’ Christopher Wilson named volunteer director of Bounty of Bethlehem

Polk County Schools has announced the recent appointment of Dr. Christopher Lamar Wilson, Director of Bands at Polk County Middle School, as the new volunteer director of Bounty of Bethlehem.
A Hendersonville native, Dr. Wilson has served in education for 26 years, including a successful tenure as assistant principal at Hendersonville High School before joining the Polk County Schools team. He also has a long history of service with the Bounty of Bethlehem, having volunteered for seven years during his college years.
“This is about giving back to the community that gave so much to me,” Dr. Wilson shared.

Dr. Wilson will be stepping into the role previously held by Annamarie Jakubielski, who guided Bounty of Bethlehem for the past five years. She is stepping down to care for an aging parent.
Polk County Schools congratulates Dr. Wilson on this new opportunity to lead and serve, and is grateful for the dedication he brings to the community.
