Polk County’s football team continued preparations Thursday for its season opener Aug. 22 against Chase.

The Wolverines conducted a brisk morning workout for their second day of fall practice. Players are limited to wearing headgear, T-shirts, non-padded shorts and football shoes during the first two days of fall practice.

On day three, players can add shoulder pads. The sixth day of practice, on Tuesday, marks the first day in which full contact is allowed.

Polk County will open its preseason schedule on Aug. 8 at West Henderson, then will return home Aug. 15 to face R-S Central in its final preseason tuneup.
