R. Shayne Floyd set to perform at Saluda Top of the Grade Concert Series

R. Shayne Floyd will perform songs from his 2025 release, Heights of the Land, at 7 p.m, Friday, August 8, for Saluda’s Top of the Grade Concert Series in Saluda. The summer concert series is made possible through a grant from the Saluda Community Fund at the Polk County Community Foundation.

Floyd, a Saluda resident, will perform with a full band. Heights of the Land includes 13 beautiful Americana songs written by Floyd, a traditional ballad and a cover song by Paul Westerberg. Joining Floyd are Jackson Dulaney on pedal steel and dobro; Sam Barker on bass; Tyler Matthews on drums; and Lindsey Wall on fiddle, mandolin and vocals.

In case of rain, the concert will  move to the park pavilion. Please remember to bring a lawn chair or a cushion for the new amphitheater seating. Attendees may bring wine and beer to the concert but please limit consumption to the seating area. No alcohol is allowed on the playground or in the parking lot. Remember to place a to-go order at one of Saluda’s fine restaurants so you can enjoy a picnic and live music in the park.

The Top of the Grade Concert series is overseen by the Saluda Downtown Foundation, Inc. with support from the City of Saluda. The Saluda Downtown Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the arts, beautification, historic preservation, cultural development and economic development in downtown Saluda.
