Saluda artist recognized by American Impressionist Society

SALUDA—Saluda artist Jim Carson has won the Third Place Award in the American Impressionist Society Small Works Show, held this year at the Fallbrook Art Center in Fallbrook, California, in March.

The winning painting is a Saluda scene, titled “Finding the Light in Saluda,” 12×16. The painting was sold at the show. The awards judge was AIS Master painter, Peggy Kroll Roberts.

Jim is a Signature member of the American Impressionist Society, a Signature member of Oil Painters of America, and a member of Plein Air Painters of the Southeast.
