Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued for Polk County

POLK COUNTY—The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning affecting Polk County. The warning is in effect until 6 p.m.
At 4:49 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located seven miles northeast of Hendersonville, or six miles southwest of Bat Cave, and is nearly stationary.
Wind gusts up to 60 mph and nickel size hail are possible, and residents can expect damage to trees and power lines, the warning states.
The NWS advises residents to move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
Locations impacted include Columbus, Tryon, and Saluda.
