TRYON—Foothills Equestrian Nature Center will host an action-packed two-day rodeo this weekend, on Friday, June 13, and Saturday, June 14. FENCE is offering the community a chance to celebrate the sport of bull-riding, enjoy all things equestrian, and taste various food offerings from vendors set to be at the event. 

The family-friendly extravaganza will feature some of the top rodeo athletes in the Southeast. Well-known bull riders and ropers such as “All Around World Champion” Tanner Lloyd, World Champion Cowgirl Jamie Ellsworth, Breakaway Calf Roping Champion Cynch Whitesell, former IPRA World Champion Team Roper Alex Brooks, and current National Champion of the American BullRiders Tour Zeke Benge will perform at the event. 

Each night, spectators will experience a full slate of events, including bull riding, saddle bronc riding, and cowgirl’s breakaway roping. Teams will also showcase their skills in team roping, while individual competitors will race against the clock in tie-down roping and the ever-popular barrel racing, where horses and riders weave through barrels at breakneck speed.

“While the rodeo arena will be packed with high-octane events and crowd-pleasing action, the real star of the evening just might be the mouthwatering lineup of food vendors ready to serve up the flavors of summer,” said FENCE’s Ashley Brewington on Monday. 

Families can enjoy freshly grilled hotdogs and hamburgers cooked on-site and served at affordable prices. Local vendors will be serving up summertime favorites like fresh-squeezed lemonade, icees, popcorn, cotton candy, tornado fries, deep-fried Oreos, funnel cakes, and more.

Gates open at 6 p.m. on both nights, and tickets will be available for purchase at the gate. Children under 10 are admitted free, making this an affordable evening out for the whole family.
